Sunny Disposition
This is the first time I've seen sunflowers since I lived in Chicago. I was never a big fan of the yellow variety; my favorites have always been rusty orange or burnt red. It's odd to think that as other parts of the country experience a late spring, due to a long and harsh winter, Phoenix has been enjoying summer all along (albeit in a milder form, compared to the steaming hot months ahead). This photo comes courtesy of an obliging community garden at Steele Indian School Park.
