San Diego: Art at the Pier

Art at the pier, San Diego, CA
I know, these photos are about five years old, and these works of art are probably no longer on exhibit, making this post seem obsolete, but I've been rummaging about and looking at photos I have taken on previous vacations and I have always loved these. I love art on public display and I love San Diego, and these photos combine both loves rather nicely. Maybe I am just gearing up for another San Diego vacation, which is fine by me. At any rate, enjoy these. The weather today in Phoenix seems rather iffy, but if conditions improve I might go out on another photo quest.

As you can tell, I really loved this particular work of art. The head looks like that of a hawk, or some other bird, and the figure suggests a gateway into the fantastical. Very cool.

If we could hear the music these performers are playing, I am sure that it would be every bit as festive and colorful as they look here.

Again, something fantastical and fun and, in this case, full of heart.

Just a photo of the pier. Simply beautiful. Yes, it's time for another San Diego vacation!
