Jacaranda Blooms

It is spring in the Valley. And one of my favorite things about spring here are the lavender blooms of the jacaranda tree. Native to Latin America, the jacaranda tree can also do well in central and southern Arizona. Actually, downtown San Diego is full of jacaranda trees, and come spring the city center is just amazing. Maybe it has something to do with the milder weather there, but the jacaranda really thrives in San Diego. Just one more reason to turn west, at least for a nice vacation. Here are some jacaranda photos. Enjoy the beautiful season of spring!
