Boulder-Dushanbe Teahouse, Boulder, CO |
To celebrate its Sister Cities relationship with Boulder, Colorado, Dushanbe, Tajikistan, employed their local artisans to help craft this unique teahouse, set in the midst of downtown Boulder. Built with Central Asian architectural flourishes, the Teahouse offers a serene dining experience, serving both food and a wide variety of teas. I would actually have tea at the Teahouse when I lived in Boulder and was always mesmerized by the festive colorfulness of the building's exterior and the interior's ethereal beauty. All these years I never forgot it, and so I had to make a return visit. Unfortunately, the Teahouse was packed when I arrived, with people waiting to be seated, and so I opted not to go in and take any interior photographs that morning. However, here are some photos of the facade, with a link to the Teahouse's website at the bottom of the post, where you can view at least one photograph of the Teahouse's interior, as well as review their tea selection and cafe menu. Enjoy!
