Art on Central

I love the heart, the roses, the choice of fiery, passionate colors, and the hummingbird featured in the middle.  It's a shame that paint has been smeared along the top middle of this painting, but it doesn't ruin the effect.

I took these photos a couple of weeks ago, but life has been quite hectic lately. Throughout the summer, I have been riding the Light Rail and enjoying the beauty of these public paintings, found on the fence of Steele Indian School Park in central Phoenix.  I regret not getting to photograph them sooner, before parts of some of them were unfortunately defaced with graffiti.  These paintings are posted as a series along the fence.  Many of them are part of a continuous sequence of images, but I chose my particular favorites to include here. Enjoy.

Again, passionate color choice and a crazy, frenetically busy abstract theme.

Another amazing abstract here.  I love the introduction of blue to this painting.  Hot and cool colors coming together to offset each other beautifully.

I love these stamps displaying different features of Phoenix. There is a classic vintage feel to these.

Happy lovebirds nesting together!

Tyrannosaurus Rex on the prowl.

Classic hot red vintage car.  The freedom of cruising across the open desert.

Get your kicks!

Break out of the industrial and enjoy liberation in the natural.

As followers of this blog already know, I love the Day of the Dead.

I love the hamsa placed at the base of the helmet.

Peaceful in cool blue.
